# Support Links

Support links are **recommended** for all FAIRsharing records.

**Information about the various types of documentation, training and support available for your resource.** 

Choose the appropriate support type from the drop-down menu. If you are unsure of which support type to use for a particular type of documentation, please [get in touch](mailto:contact@fairsharing.org).

Each support item has three fields: Type, Link, and Name: 

* The **Type** is a drop-down menu that allows you to choose the type of support you are describing. 
* The **Link** field must contain a URL in all cases except the email and twitter types, which require an email address and twitter handle starting with “@”, respectively. 
* The **Name** field is a short, free-text description of the type of document you are providing.
