On the top right of every record there is an actions menu.
If you are the maintainer of a record, then you will be able to access this option. Clicking on 'Edit record' will take you to our edit interface, for which full documentation is available at How to Update a Record.
If you are one of the developers of the resource and would like to become a maintainer of the record, then select this option. Your request will be sent to our in-house curation staff and reviewed. Details of this procedure are available in our Getting Started section of this documentation.
If you are interested in the resource described by a record and wish to be notified if any changes are made to the record, then select 'Watch record'. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so.
This option works the same way as the 'View Relation Graph' in the main body of the record, and takes you to the graph of this record and its immediate neighbours. More information is available on our Relation Graphs.
Want to know who has permissions to modify records? Visit our Record Update section.
Every change made in the record is publicly available through the 'View record history' option, providing a complete version history of all records in FAIRsharing. By default, the logs made via our current system are displayed via the 'View History Logs' tab. Updates to records prior to the creation of the current FAIRsharing website are also available via the 'View Legacy Logs' tab.
By expanding each individual edit and by progressing along the left-hand menu of different object types, you can review every change made to records, including the time, user initial and modified state, and type of change.
Remember, every time a record is modified, these history logs are updated and email notifications will be sent to all maintainers and watchers of the record.
By clicking on this option, the user will be able to compose an email about this record to the FAIRsharing team and any maintainers that may be linked to the record.
