# AI Assistants

Using FAIRsharing and exploring the FAIRsharing registry involve different kinds of questions. To provide the best experience, FAIRsharing offers two specialised AI assistants for these two tasks. Whether you're learning how to use FAIRsharing or discovering standards, databases, repositories and policies within the FAIRsharing registry, our assistants provide a conversational way to access FAIRsharing's documentation and registry content..

These assistants are currently **in beta**. We welcome your feedback as we continue to improve them.

### FIONA – FAIRsharing Information and Documentation Navigation Assistant

FIONA helps you learn how to **use FAIRsharing**.

She answers questions using FAIRsharing's documentation and educational resources, and can guide you through tasks such as:

* searching and browsing FAIRsharing;
* creating, claiming and updating FAIRsharing records;
* understanding record fields;
* using FAIRsharing effectively.

For example, you could ask:

* *How do I create a FAIRsharing record?*
* *How do I claim an existing record?*
* *What information belongs in the Licences section?*
* *How do I browse records by subject?*
* *How do I use the advanced search?*

If your question cannot be answered from the available documentation, FIONA will tell you rather than speculate.

### FRED – FAIRsharing Record Exploration and Discovery

FRED helps you **explore FAIRsharing**.

Using the FAIRsharing registry, FRED can help you discover, compare and explore standards, databases, repositories and policies, along with the relationships between them.

For example, you could ask:

* *How many Social Sciences records are there?*
* *Which repositories implement MIAME?*
* *Which standards are used in archaeology?*
* *Which repositories support mzML?*
* *What policies recommend the FAIR principles?*

## Beta release and feedback

FIONA and FRED are currently **beta** services. While we aim to provide accurate, helpful and trustworthy responses, they are still evolving and may not always behave as expected.

Your feedback plays an important role in helping us improve these assistants. If you encounter unexpected behaviour, have suggestions for new features, or would like to share your experience, we'd love to hear from you.
