FAIR assistance
FAIRsharing provides information and guidance around FAIR as it pertains to the records within our database registry
This feature is in active development.
FAIRsharing provides a rich variety of manually-curated content across its three registries (standards, databases and policies). Find out how this record metadata can be used to inform the community regarding the FAIR aspects of the databases registered with us. This page describes the benchmark being created to provide FAIR assistance on database registry content.
FAIR Assessment of Repositories and Knowledgebases Benchmark
(FAIR ARK)
This benchmark collects all of the metrics that are used to produce the FAIR assistance information. Find out more at https://fairsharing.org/7162.
FAIR Principles F1: (Meta)data are assigned globally unique and persistent identifiers
The FAIR F1 principle is very commonly split into its distinct components of the identifiers being 1) a GUPRI (globally unique, persistent and resolvable), and 2) persistent only. These sub-principles are represented in FAIRsharing with F1-GUID (https://doi.org/10.25504/FAIRsharing.b7f1ab) and F1-PID (https://doi.org/10.25504/FAIRsharing.e226cb).
FAIR Principles F1-PID: (Meta)data are assigned persistent identifiers
FAIR Principles F1-GUID: (Meta)data are assigned globally unique and persistent identifiers
FAIR Principles A2: metadata are accessible, even when the data are no longer available
